The fourth quarter of 2022 has also seen Amazon fraud scams dramatically keep rising.

Call scammers claim to be from Amazon customer service department and urge recipients to “Press One” to engage with a service representative and take off the phony charge.

“The shopping season may push such a type of scams to go up in Q4 of 2022,” RealCall product manager Curry said, “We recommend consumers do not answer or respond to any calls claiming to be Amazon because the odds are now overwhelming that it will be a scam.”

In fact, the calls claiming to come from Amazon are not really coming from Amazon.

According to Amazon customer service department, while some departments at Amazon will make outbound calls to customers, Amazon will never ask you to disclose or verify sensitive personal information or offer you a refund you do not expect.
