Have never given my number to any government agency.
Sincere sounding male wanted a donation to help police officers and their families. I asked how much of the donation went to help cops, he eventually admitted 12%, (after 88% covers overhead, his commission). Hang up on this type of call. I'm not aware of any legitimate police/file charities that are not scams.
They send the caller ID adding the + sign before the nymbers to bypass the blocker application.
