Every spam call has been blocked since I’ve installed this app. I get 10-15 robocalls daily and never get distractions while I’m working or with family. Very happy with it.
No annoying calls!! Though it also silences all calls not in contacts. I’d like to get all calls from my local phone numbers.
I own my own aesthetics business, as well as I teach yoga. It is important for me to be able to stay in touch with my clients as well as my healthcare providers as I am chronically ill but this also leads to me having incessant phone calls that I waste time on. Bec I was literally losing my mind, and, starting to waste a lot of stress on said calls that didn\'t need to go through. If you are receiving too many Robo calls or too many spam calls. This is worth your money, especially if you own your own business.
Finally sanity! Thanks! No spam calls!
Well, so far, this is blocked all of the Robo calls and scam calls so I would definitely have to say that I am happy with this app.
Do Not Answer- Scam call, not amazon.
I received a call accompanied by an email from no-reply@amazon.com to confirm a Kindle purchase I recently made. I immediately thought it was a scam, and my phone flagged it as a scam number, but I contacted Amazon via live chat and the rep told me it was legit. I'd suggest anyone concerned about this number contact Amazon directly through Amazon.com, NOT through any phone number or email address that contacts you. I don't know what Amazon was thinking having a call come from such a strange number and not a 1-800 number. This call and email set off so many red flags and caused unnecessary concern.
I bought gift card for Amazon reload balance. Asked me to approve charge. Amzn also emailed me that I would be getting a phone call… overall still pretty sketch process but it was real
someone called me and knew my name and exact purchase. asked for nothing else and said goodbye. weird. The comments are useless since every other one says its both legit and a scam.
The lady with Indian accent asked if I have placed an order with AMAZON for $1300 dollars? I said "you must be a fraduster". I dont have any account with AMAZON. So, watch out with Indian accent ladies or gents.
It claims to be amazon with a heavy accent that says: "Hi we are calling from Amazon regarding an order that you have been placed. Please call back when you are free." They didn't leave a callback number and the number above doesn't work. Seems very scammy.
And the Amazon chat people said: "Although some departments at Amazon.com make outbound calls to customers, we never ask you about any order or call back The call you received was not from Amazon.com"
Not a spammer- this is legit Amazon verifying purchases to protect against fraud
It's Amazon. If you have recently purchased a gift card (high amount), then they'll call you to confirm if it's you. All they asked me was if I was the owner/purchaser and what amount it was. Once I confirmed it, they asked if I wanted to process or cancel. I said process and my order went through in about a minute.
Never said anything
+13147885896 claims to be Amazon Verification dept. Cant understand a word they said.
Info regarding fraudulent charges
This person is not affiliated with Amazon. I called their customer service to verify, and they confirmed that this is a scam call and to not answer or provide them with account information.
wanted to confirm details. I had just bought a egift card so these guys have some access to see these orders.
Received a call claiming to be Amazon about an e-gift card I ordered. Hung up and called amazon directly. They were able to confirm the number IS legit (though they could really do a better job of making this clear, perhaps with an email instead).
legit
Called after recent Amazon order to ‘verify “ order.. I called Amazon directly and they did not place the call to me
Called wanting verification for Amazon gift card purchase. I did not respond but did call Amazon. They said it was not an Amazon verifiable number and was not an authorized call. I followed up with a report to the FTC.
Amazon fraud verification for e-card orders
I'd purchased two Google Play gift cards off of Amazon and a man called to verify that I did in fact want to authorize the purchase of them, presumably because of how common gift card scams are. This call was definitely not spam.
